Ambassadors
Wim Hof - Creator of WHM and a man with a mission
Better known as ‘the Iceman’. Wim is our ambassador from the start and has an incredible love for nature, especially for wildlife and the Maasai tribe. He visited Loita Hills in 2018 and exchanged knowledge with the Maasai elders and young warriors during a ‘Back to Nature’ Bush Expedition. This was the beginning of a close friendship and his ‘Garden of Eden’ project which contributes to our work.
Jimmy Nelson Artist - Photographs indigenous cultures
Together with the Jimmy Nelson Foundation (JNF) we are creating a Cultural Education Centre where ancient Maasai culture and wisdom about life in harmony with nature can be shared with a new generation earthkeepers. The indigenous people have a far greater role in sustainable development than we have been aware of. They have an intrinsic connection with nature and a deeper sense of ritualistic self, which is crucial for all of our progress

In memorial: Yvette Selten - Veterinarian and trailrunner
Yvette lived with her family in Bleiswijk and had her own veterinary practice in Zoetermeer. From an early age she was crazy about animals and a real outdoor person. On the weekends she did trail running. Making adventurous trips was also a passion, including exploring Africa. Yvette supported the Back to Nature Foundation in setting up a veterinary clinic in the Masai Mara Ecosystem.
Leandre Omeir
Leandre is a certified Wim Hof Method (WHM) instructor and nature warrior. He has a passion for physical and spiritual health. Leandre has experienced a life changing moment and reconnected with himself and nature after he met Wim.  He climbs the Kilimanjaro every year in 24 hours to raise funds for the Back to Nature Foundation.
